Don't forget they are closed on Sunday! Grr. Went back again last night and got some pancit in addition to our chicken meal. It was my first time so I don't know how the pancit here compares to other places. My husband does, though, and he liked it. I also thought it was tasty.

Mix of filipino and american food. Broasted chicken, pancit, and lumpia.... Yum

The chicken is cooked while you wait. Hot and tasty. Rex Navarette would definately become a husky boy if he ate here a lot. The pancit and lumpia go good with the chicken. If you are puteh, just get that. I tried the beef afritada with green peppers, potatoes and tomatoes. That was good. The kare kare looked a little old, but I would try it next time. The chicken adobo is good. Try to call in your order, since the chicken takes some time to cook. It's worth the wait. Not many selections, but for being in Port Hueneme, I'm not complaining.

A Filipino food joint that welcomes typical American palates? Not bad, Broasted Chicken. Way to ease 'em into it. I can't complain about the chicken. I mean it's not panty-dropping good, but it's good. The pancit's fine, but I was sad that the one lumpia on my plate was so skimpy. I come here to eat chicken, so I never get to try the ulams, but next time we shall see. It is what it is--A-OK.

Great tasting food, just be sure to call in, orders can take up to 30mins!

this is THE best chicken i've ever tasted. (better than roscoe's chicken and waffles on pico!) unfortunately, everything else on the menu mediocre. and don't eat there, the dining area is stuffy and basic. be quick to bring your chicken home, cos the bag makes the broasted goodness soggy. on second thought, i suggest grubbin' your take out at the beach. the beach is less than a minute away driving. i guess the pancit and egg rolls aren't horrible. get chicken, pancit and egg rolls. you'll like the pancit and love the broasted chicken -toasted to excellence, you'll see!

Lunch for today was rice and chicken adobo! Chicken adobo's not served everyday, but lemme tell ya ONE THING -- YUMMMMMMMM!!!!!! Dessert was their Taro Boba. A word on that, too -- YUMMMMMMMM!!!!!! Needless to say, I walked away...correction, I WADDLED away (lol) fully sated.

This was super saturated in oil. I dont eat a lot of fatty food. So this is probabaly why i didn't really care for the fried chicken. I tried the pancet, this was pretty good. Had a really good balance of flavors. It was very hearty and comforting. The Boba was delish. Very refreshing for a hot summer day. I had honeydew melon. Mmmm mm Empanadas were ok. My biggest pet pev with these were the raisins inside. I typically do not like to mix sweet fruits with my salty savory comfort foods. Definitely could not eat this very offend but maybe when I've had a late night and need a cure to my hangover.

Shitty place. No bathroom. They want u eat with dirty hands. Gentleman manning the front register said bathroom was out of order. If it's out of order how does the kitchen staff wash their hands or use the bathroom? Chicken wasn't bad tho

I've eaten Broasted Chicken several times now and give this place 4.5 stars. I usually get the 1A Combo that comes with a thigh, pancit, and 1 lumpia. It's a pretty good amount of food for less than $6. The pancit is good and the lumpia is crunchy, but the star of the show is the chicken. The chicken is delightful.. the skin is crisp, the meat is juicy, and it has a great savory flavor. They say that "broasting instantaneously sears and seals in the natural juices and cooks to the bone in minutes." mmm.. doesn't that sound good?! My family usually orders take-out so I haven't eaten at the restaurant. I have been here once and it's a small place. Not too many tables so people usually order to-go. Phone your order in if you don't want to wait ~15 minutes because they cook to order.

... For 8 bucks+tax for dinner, EXCELLENT deal. You cannot find or compare this place anywhere else! I had two chicken, two rolls, and a good portion of pancit. All an absolute awesome taste. The comments or review on this place was RIGHT! It's one of the best fried chicken (except for homemade marinated-bbq chicken) this place is not really for dinning-in but unless you don't have anywhere else to chow down or go to eat this place will suffice. Low overhead, low maintenance if I'm the owner I would maintain the same size and not to expand. Lastly, I was here on NBV base for training and if you find yourself in the area, I would highly suggest to try/check it out.

  • Maynard G.

Had the 2 thigh combo ... Lots of food! Lumpia (Filipino meat egg roll) is ok and so is the pancit(Filipino noodles). The chicken is goods lot like breasted chicken in West Covina ... Recommend and try it out if you're in the area ... Order ahead And pick up takes 15 minutes as they cook the chicken fresh!

I go here allll the time. Not sure why people have low stars. This place does what you want it to do. Chicken is fresh and moist allll the time. I don't think ive ever had dry chicken here and I really come here at least 3 times or more a week. It's right next to the base so it's great for lunch. Pancit is my favorite thing. I crave it all the time. So yummy and the chunks of veggies they put it in are really nice too. The lumpia is good too it's just not really my favorite thing. I normally take a bite, give it to my boyfriend and stuff my face with more pancit. All in all its great and quick for lunch and if you're getting it to go, call ahead. One time I got my food and the chicken was so hot that it melted the Styrofoam box! Bottom line it's really fresh and yummy!

  • Nilda C.

The chicken is really good! We will come back when we're in the area.

I'm giving this place 5 stars. First off it's a small business (about 4 tables) and it's still in business since 1987. Thank you Yelpers for leading me to this place in my own back yard. The chix was crispy, juicy, and fall off the bone tender. Pls take my advise and do yourself a favor and try this chix if you haven't done so yet! See ya next time Broasted Chix!!!

Excellent food!! Amazing Lumpia, Pancit, and Broasted Chicken!! Love this place. You get a ton of food too.

  • Michael R.

Let's get to the point, eat here. This place is good. Pancit, Lumpia, Broasted chicken, coleslaw, shrimp, chicken adobo, dinner rolls, Broasted potatoes, yep, all great. It's one of those places where all the options just make each other taste better. The hardest part is choosing which combination to go with. Sometimes I like the chicken with coleslaw, Broasted potatoes and a dinner roll... and other times I have to go with chicken, pancit, lumpia and shrimp. You can't go wrong either way and if you go during lunch time you can even enjoy an order of chicken adobo. Only advice, order ahead or you'll be waiting at least 15 minutes (and that's if it's not busy.) Also, this is not a very big place... like maybe seating for 10 on the inside and 8 on the outside patio furniture. Make it intimate or make it to go. Try it or Diet Final Word Capital T Try it. You won't be disappointed.

  • Yeny E.

Ok so everyone on yelp been raving about their chicken so I had to try it out! Here is what we ordered: 4A: thigh, leg, pancit & 2 lumpia $7.50 2legs special comes with 2 legs, pancit, 1 lumpia for $ 5.20 2 thighs specials comes with 2thighs, pancit, & lumpia for $6.40 4B: 2 breast, pancit, 2 lumpia for $8.80 Price is good for the fried chicken quality we had some left over. But not being Philippino the pancit tasted bland to us but they were still tasty.

  • Chi H.

Came here in January. Chicken was delicious and pancit hit the spot. Too bad I didn't order more lumpia. Will come back again when we are in the area. Definitely call in 15-20 minutes before picking up. Decor does not exist, basically a whole in the wall joint. Needs to play music or put up a TV or something. Doesn't matter, we were here for the food, not the ambiance. LOL

    (5)
  • Arturo L.

The food is delicious, noticeably superior to regular fried chicken. The pancit and lumpia are on point. The service is really good, always polite and respectful, though sometimes you might be waiting a couple minutes if nobody is attending to the front. Prices are great too, you get so much food for your money. The only drawback is that it looks kind of dingy, especially the buffet style food they have next to the register (kind of gross). But don't let that deter you, their chicken, pancit, and lumpia are awesome and a MUST if you've never had Filipino food.

    (4)
  • Adelaida D.

I come and eat here almost every week. The chicken is always crispy as its made to order so its always fresh!!! Call ahead for pick up if you dont wana wait 15 min or longer.. :) best chicken in the neighborhood!

    (4)
  • April W.

straight forward and delicious. That's all I wanted the day I went here. pretty damn good, and I don't eat chicken like this often. I also tried a green apple bobba, which was interesting. It was a good candy replacement since I have a severe sweet tooth. I wish I had gone back and tried the chai one.

  • Adell S.

Each and every time I'm in Ventura County, I make it a point to stop here. The best chicken around. The flavor and crispness can't be beat. Do yourself a favor and stop by, your tummy will thank you.

  • Leo F.

Quality chicken and crispy . Good potatoes. Colslaw was runny. I definitely recommend this place for the chicken it was extremely good . The sides are decent not excellent. Next time I will try other sides.

I got to say I've been craving bomb fried chicken in oxnard and I just found it. Will be going back soon. If you love chicken you got to try. U will not be disappointed.

  • Anthony C.

Oh man I passed by here so many times and regret not going sooner. Huge portions and when i seen a few reviews about lacking flavor I was kinda scared. MY WHOLE PLATE WAS PACKED WITH FLAVOR! My fiancé and I were helped by the owner herself, Lourdes. I will be back. I took a picture of what I had :)

Filipino owned. But you don't need to be fluent in Tagalog here (I actually know some Tagalog myself since they happen to use around 200-300 of my Spanish words in their language :P) The main things here are the broaster chicken, pancit (noodles) and lumpias (egg rolls). It's all good, but my spouse and I mainly come here for the delicious fried chicken. yelp.com/biz_photos/broa… yelp.com/biz_photos/broa… yelp.com/biz_photos/broa… Broasted chicken is a unique method of deep frying and pressure cooking the chicken all at once, so this is not your average greasy fried chicken. It's really flavorful, has a light, crispy texture, and the meat is SO tender and juicy. They even have a wall plaque that describes the following in detail about their unique Broasted Chicken: "Broasting sears and seals in the natural juices, and cooks to the bone in minutes. It has a full, rich flavor, and the coating is light nutty brown." Sounds good to me =9 yelp.com/biz_photos/broa… They also make great bobas here (we got the creamy mango one). It was the right sweetness without overkill, and one of the best bobas I ever had. yelp.com/biz_photos/broa… You pay at the counter. This is a small, fast food joint w/ around 5 tables, so please do not bring the whole gang here =P yelp.com/biz_photos/broa… This mom & pop restaurant has been around forever. I first came here when I used to reside in the city of Port Hueneme (Ventura County). I still return to this area every once in a while. BTW, it's closed on Sunday. If you are terrified of fried chicken because it will clog your arteries, keep calm. Your cholesterol will probably give you a high five this time.

  • Danny I.

I love this place. For the price, best fried chicken in Ventura county. I go here at least once a week, can't be to good for my heart. It's best if you call in your order the place gets busy.

    (5)
  • Rainier C.

The place is good! No room to sit a lot of people. I ordered 4A and it was good! Chicken was fried and cooked to the bone (Filipino Style) and definitely not KFC style of cooking. I would definitely come back!

    (5)
  • Jessica R.

This is my husbands favorite place. I'm not a big chicken fan so I always avoid going. Today when I went I had a whole new experience. I actually ate the chicken and it was delicious. So was the pancit and lumpia. Meal was affordable and everything was fresh. I will def be a regular now. Call your order in im otherwise you'll wait a bit.

    (4)
  • Ram D.

Best broasted chicken i've had so far in socal. I love this place so much! This is also a filipino restaurant (altho they sell limited pinoy food). I got the 2 piece combo, my pansit was average, the lumpia was good but my chicken was so good! Perfectly crispy on the outside and then tender and juicy on the inside. I should've gotten more than 2. I also like that they make the food to order so its def not jus sitting in a warm table. The lady in the counter is very nice and friendly. I will be back!

Hole in the wall secluded paradise. You would never even know this gem was here. Small, but the food talks big. Being Filipino and having a wife that cooks Filipino Food I may say Broasted Chicken is 5 Stars easy. We live a walk away by the beach. Missing SD with many choices to eat Filipino Food, this place really brings back the comfort in food. In addition to that I was raised eating stuff like this. We both ordered the 4A Combos and the (3) Chicken Empanadas for $5 which was off the hinges. Maybe I was just really hungry, but if there was a Empanada country with a bunch of Empanada Citizens, then these ones would be the President of that Empanada country....with exception to the raisins. Next time we'll venture off and try more.

    Great Filipino food and chicken.

  • Rachel C.

This place was a disappointment for my hungry taste buds. I'd have enjoyed my meal more if I had gone to KFC instead. The chicken and lumpia were OK but nothing memorable. Truth be told, the lumpia screamed over-fried and greasy. The pancit was very very bland for me, probably because I have been spoiled by super flavorful foods all my life-I love Thai, Chinese, Indian, etc. I can see how people can rate this place so highly though. If you can get past the tastelessness, this place is likeable for big portions and a small price tag.

    (2)
  • Jason M.

What's the hype? Everything was bland. The pancit needs salt, pepper, chicken broth, garlic, onions, everything. Same with the chicken. It has no flavor at all. The portions are huge but who needs big portions for this crap. Oh yeah, the trash can!

  • Max G.

AWESOME Food!!! I thought I had tried it all, when it came to quality fried chicken, but man was I wrong. I found this spot through a friend of a friend, and would totally recommend this place to anyone else that is looking for some great fried chicken.

  • Anna A.

I have been on the search for a good fried chicken in Ventura County. In my search, I was either incredibly disappointed or keeled over with a stomachache. Then a friend suggested Broasted Chicken, I used to come here as a child. So I traveled far from my home (1 mile) to Broasted Chicken. I ordered Filipino combo 4a, which comes with one broasted chicken breast, 2 lumpia, and pancit. My first bite into the chicken was shear heaven. The chicken is wonderfully juicy, and the outside crisp. This is what I had been looking for! The pancit was great, though I have not had any pancit that I didn't like. The lumpia, not as wonderful as the chicken and pancit, but still really good. Broasted Chicken is worth the drive to the end of Ventura Road, regardless of where you live. There is a reason they've been around so long, cause it is fantastic!

    (5)
  • Dee Dee M.

This place is tucked behind Wendy's on Ventura road. Hard to find but well worth it. Chicken was super tender and lumpia was spot on. Call in ahead if you can. When I was there they made my order when I got there so had to wait a about 15 minutes. People were nice but not overly so. Yes place is a bit dated but I think most people use take out.

    (4)
  • Richard B.

I wanted to like this place because my wife loves Filipino food (I like it, but hardly would say that I love it). But I don't. It's definitely a takeout place with harsh neon lighting and a dinginess to it, but we ate there. The pancit was off-tasting to me. My wife had doctored hers up with soy and lemon and she liked it ok. The lumpia were serviceable, but nothing great. I was not impressed by the broasted chicken. Of course, I like original KFC rather than any of the crispy. So if you like crispy fried chicken, you might like this. It was a bit greasy, to boot. On the plus side, the mango boba was good tasting. Late addition: I thought my wife liked this place ok, but she was very disappointed, too.

    (2)
  • Sariah D.

I don't know too much about Filipino food but the food there was great! Got plate A, chicken breast, lumpia and pancit. All 3 were excellent. I am really picky with my fried chicken because I hate it when it's pink inside, but this one wasn't, it was cooked thoroughly. I will be going back...when I'm not on a diet! Lol

    (5)
  • Jen S.

AMAZING fried chicken. We tried Broasted Chicken for the first time tonight. I'm normally a dark meat girl because I feel breasts are too dry but the Broasted chicken breasts were actually super moist and juicy! We ordered to-go which took quite a while, next time we'll call ahead to pick up from Ventura. We each decided on a broasted chicken plate with pancit and lumpia for dinner. Flavorful, succulent chicken with Filipino sides... Brilliant. We loved it and will be back!

    (4)
  • Archie ..

Very good...fried chicken- if you're into fried chicken. The rest of the food is ok. *The best fried chicken in socal, it's like good ol' southern home made fried chicken (cooked with super secret recipe) *Phone-in order to cut off the waiting time.

  • Liz M.

Got this catered for a business meeting and may I say it was delicious. I have never tried Pilipino food and it was great! We got chicken, pancit, lumpias the whole shabam and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken tastes really good you get the nice crispness from the skin it is not full of oil the noodles are really good I tried it a second time for lunch, I did call ahead like people suggested which worked great I got there paid and got my food in less than 2 minutes I was outta there. But anyways back to the food they give you lemon with the noodles the second time I got it I squirted some lemon on top and it gave it such a great flavor. Don't worry about not liking the food if you go there as long as you like fried or shall I say broasted chicken you will truly enjoy it . I hope you enjoy as much as I did :)

    (5)
  • B W.

The fried chicken, lumpia, and pancit are very good. To be fair, I've never really had filipino food until I started eating here, but it seems authentic. I eat here on average once every 3-4 weeks or so, and I always look forward to it. I'm docking one star because (1) there aren't many vegetables served with their combos and (2) since its a hole-in-the-wall, the seating area is a bit cramped and the temperature is hotter than my liking.

    (4)
  • Richard B.

Was in the mood for something different. Wanted to try something a little hole in the wall-ish. Looked at yelp and gave it a shot. It was definitely that. So don't expect a big dining area to accommodate groups of people. Inside was fairly clean, small and somewhat busy. Most people looked like they pre ordered or got it to go. The speedyness is not there, so they did state 15 minutes for the wait, so it is not fast food. I am sure they cook to order. Got the fried chicken, lumpia and pancit combo. Pancit portion was bigger than expected. Tasted good to me as well as the lumpia. The fried chicken was pretty juicy and tender. Guess that is the difference with broasted as opposed to just frying. Although not as seasoned as other places, perhaps that is what makes it. Just keeping it simple.

    (4)
  • Louella L.

The food is really good and I highly recommend their chicken and coleslaw with a side of pancit and lumpias. The place is small not an like a regular restaurant but if you want something good for to go, this is a good place to go to. The owners and servers are polite and friendly. It is hidden unless you really know this area. It is Filipino style home cooked meals so yes to steam rice... Cheap and affordable if your on a budget, too.:)

    (5)
  • Philip L.

Better than Jollibee chickenjoy. A must place to go when ur in Pt. Hueneme. I would come back again.

    (5)
  • Annie A.

Pancit and Lumpia are not authentic. It was pretty gross, the lumpia was more like a double wrapped flour egg roll. The pancit was made with Fideo noodles. Will not be going back there again for Filipino food!

    (2)
  • Lilah D.

Scrumptious chicken! My partner in dine and I found this place thanks to our fellow yelpers. We called ahead which was recommended to us and got chicken, lumpia, and pancit to go. The service was not bad. The aroma of the chicken in the car was torturously good. We could not wait to taste it. The batter, crispy skin, and moist meat were so delectable! Pressure cooking and deep frying concepts are where it's at with the chicken. As for our sides-the lumpia and pancit, they were okay. The restaurant probably needs a remodel or a makeover. Not much space to eat if you dine in. If we are in the mood for comfort food, we'll be back. A solid 4 stars.

    (4)
  • Renee M.

This place is 4 stars for what it is, a food shop. The food really is good and definitely fairly priced. Just a tad too oily and not a vegetable in sight.

    (4)
  • T S.

Fried chicken and lumpia were great! The pancit was ok. Service was a little slow. We were the only ones in the restaurant but they did have a few takeout orders. I would definitely come back for more.

    (4)
  • Eugene A.

Chicken was good and so was the pansit. As far as everything else this place is more like a carry out restaurant. Very limited seating and everything else looks old.

    (3)
  • Connor B.

Superb chicken! The Filipino food is a MAJOR plus. There is a large Filipino population in the area and a lack of food to represent the heritage. The chicken was worlds better than the Filipino food; however, I have been spoiled by the quality cooking of friends family. I had chicken, pancit, and lumpia. The lumpia sauce left loads to be desired and lumpia must've been cooked in the same oil as the chicken because it had a nutty-poultry aftertaste that was rather off-putting. The pancit was the supporting star: it saved this reviewer's lunch. All gripes aside-- this is a restaurant that fills a void in the market and I am glad to have it. I cannot wait to come back on a weekday and try the hot lunch. Adobo here is come!

    (4)
  • Carmina B.

4 stars for great-tasting, crispy chicken. Lumpia and pancit are not that good. Friendly server, quick service. I would come back just for the chicken.

    (4)
  • Laura L.

I LOVE this place!!! The chicken is soooo good. I really like the pancit and coleslaw too. I have yet to actually eat in the restaurant - we usually call in and pick it up. It's so nice to have a yummy restaurant on our side of town! Yay for broasted chicken!

    (5)
  • Pieno P.

This place is one of those places you go if you hear about it. Its not in a popular part of oxnard. But if you know is there it is amazing. The chicken is always juicy. the pancit is amazing. This place is good.. I would recommend Phone Ordering.

    (5)
  • Ron G.

A small Filipino restaurant by the beach. The food is made to order. The chicken taste like what mom used to make. The service is friendly and fast. They also serve the popular halo halo. The prices are good and I am definitely coming back.

    (4)
  • Xuan R.

LOVE the broasted chicken here. There is no better place for fried chicken in Ventura County and well worth the drive if you don't live in the immediate area. However, I've had better pancit and lumpia.

    (4)
  • Vicky Z.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE their pancit!! The broasted chicken, potatoes and lumpia are super tasty too! I live in Thousand Oaks and when I'm craving pancit, I make the 30 minute drive up to Port Hueneme! I usually go on a Saturday, get my food and drive over to Hueneme Beach to enjoy my meal by the ocean. Delish!! Don't forget, they're closed on Sundays!

    (5)
  • Leia A.

    The best chicken I've ever tasted, hands down! The skin is just perfectly crunchy and really flavorful and the meat is nice and juicy. And the hot sauce they serve it with is so, so good. They also have other side dishes, most are Filipino like pancit (amazing!) or lumpia. They also have boba. You can order different combos & their prices are reasonable. The restaurant itself is on the small side, but they have outdoor seating as well. It's located like a block from Hueneme Beach, behind Wendy's & Subway {and definitely skip those two places and come here!}

    (5)
  • Carlo B.

OMG!!! WE WOULD LOVE THESE FRIED CHICKEN AND it's sooo delicious. you should go there and order the best fired Chicken :). We definitely would go there back again :)..

    (5)
  • Aprilvue M.

Love the chicken and pancit and would have given 5 stars before I stopped by myself instead of having my son pick it up. The place is really in need of deep cleaning. It makes me long for hygiene alphabetical ratings found in other areas. Come on guys, get that steam cleaner and windex out of the back room and make the place inviting.

    (3)
  • Nana U.

Excellent pancit. The lumpia was just o/k. I still don't understand why Filipino restaurants use Chinese egg roll wrappers instead of genuine Filipino lumpia wrappers?? It makes all the difference in the world. If I wanted an egg roll, I would go to a Chinese restaurant and buy an egg roll. We got there about an hour before they closed so couldn't try the adobo because all of that food was already sold out or too late to cook more. Now lets get to the chicken. The chicken is cooked to order. It is broasted which means it's lightly coated with batter and deep fried in a pressure cooker. This seals the juices in because it crisps the outside of the chicken as soon as it's dropped in. It takes about 15 minutes to cook the chicken so if you think you're gonna order and walk out the door with your food, think again. Filipinos have cooked chicken this way forever and it is amazing!! All you need is a few pieces of this chicken, some pancit and steamed rice and you are good to go. I still cook chicken this way at home.

  • Heather C.

I came to Broasted Chicken based off of Google Reviews stating how tasty the chicken was. I have never had Broasted Chicken before and it was definitely worth a try. (broasted chicken is a method of deep frying and pressure cooking the chicken all in 1) I ordered a Breast and a Wing with a side of pancit and two lumpia. The chicken was so good it was like the best fried chicken I've ever had hands down. The pancit, it was just okay. The vegetables in the pancit was pretty tasty. I was disappointed in the lumpia I love lumpia, and this was just off more vegetables than meat, I just wasn't feelin it. The shop is like a little hole in the wall is not much to say about it. A few tables inside, but I didn't care because the chicken was delicious. Most customers that I saw come in and out had already called their orders in. I will definitely do that next time. If you're in the area give this place shot it was quite tasty.

  • Kim T.

Funny, with a name like "broasted chicken," I expected the meal to be either broiled or roasted. Instead, it was deep fried & better than KFC. LOL

    (3)
  • Mikey A.

The food is good. But the place needs a good cleaning. Owners take note: clean the place real good and keep it clean.

  • Archie A.

Best Broasted Chicken I have ever had in the US, I first had broasted chicken in Bahrain out of all places. There is a special combo for white rice and pancit but I rather skip the pancit and just have the chicken with rice. The pancit was blaned and always find other pancits not prepared by my mom not so appeasing, no offense. The batter used for the chicken is really flavorful and your first bite is greeted with that brosted crispy crunch and super moist meat inside. Costumer service is ok but not the best, depending on what time of day it is the restaurant will be super packed. The restaurant it self really looks beat up and calling for a remodel. My stars are for the cost of menu items and for the chicken only, definitely a revisit!!!!!!!! People ask what is broasted chicken its a method of preparing chicken, meats, and fish by combining pressure cooking and deep frying concepts...Bam!

Different fried chicken place runned by Filippino. Its good, but greasy. May cause the itis which makes you sleepy. Optional sides are potatoes, rice, pancit, fries, onion rings, or dinner roll. The fries were burnt. Place is small wirh 4 tables inside and 2 outside. Average seating is 4 people per table. CLOSED ON SUNDAY ALL DAY. (I came here a few times on Sunday and its my usual day off.) Service is good, friendly. They take cards and cash. There is an obvious wait as your food won't be made until you order it. Perks: Halo-halo, Boba drinks (Thai Tea, taro, strawberry, watermelon, mango, honey dew, green apple), chicken empanada

Stopped in for a quick lunch Very good broasted chicken, parking was easy. As they make everything to order give yourself an extra 10min. Was happy they had outdoor seats to enjoy the gorgeous weather. Only suggestion: order extra potatoes, you'll regret it if you don't.

This place makes the juiciest and most tender fried chicken I have ever tasted! I'm giving Broasted Chicken 5 stars for that alone! The prices are reasonable too. You can't go wrong with any of their combos that come with pancit and lumpia as sides. The sides don't hold a flame to the chicken and get a fair 3.5 stars. Visit Broasted for lunch when you have a little extra time because they cook the chicken made to order so it takes a little bit of time but it is well worth it!

I have been coming here for the past 14 years. Since then, there have been 3 new owners. The broasted chicken recipe never changed. It is made to order. Always fresh, juicy, and crispy... served with a good sweet and sour sauce. The pancit and lumpia are not as tastey as they used to be compared to the original owners, but still edible with the chicken. When i am in town, I always order the lunch combo with an order of onion rings.

Best chicken EVER! I've been coming here since I was in high school, and the food has always been good. They fry your chicken as you order it, so don't come hungry and starving. I call in advance to place my order to ensure instant fried chicken gratification. I've run in to countless Navy Sea Bees (stationed at Port Hueneme) around Georgia and Florida, and they've all raved about Broasted Chicken and now much they miss it.

So I normally provide a quick tip and rarely a full review but I figured I should probably do more of the latter since it would be more beneficial to the masses! ;-) I've been coming here for what seems like forever. The menu is basically broken down in two parts: Filipino and American. Both have combos available with the Filipino side offering lumpia and pancit as their side dishes and the American half serving broasted potato wedges and dinner rolls. Whichever path you choose, the real headliner is the delicious broasted chicken! Always internally juicy (maybe a little greasy at times) and externally crispy. I say: eternally scrumptious! The chicken is always cooked to order so it's in your best interest to phone ahead and avoid the 20 minute wait.

The chicken is moist and very flavorful. There are always people stopping in for take out. A little out of the way but a great choice.

The pancit and lampia are pretty good....But this place is all about the fried chicken, which was perfect. One of the best hole in the wall's that I've been to!

We came here looking for Chicken and Waffles, but alas, our hopes and dreams were dashed. The fried chicken was delicious, the best part of the meal by far. The Pancit? Not so good. No flavor, no personality. The Lumpia was better, but only barely so.

I am a regular here. Chicken is great! On Thanksgivings, they make the best deep fried turkey. I usually come here for the filipino food which is close to homecooking. I love the sinagang which is my favorite dish. I usually double up on it with rice. =)

Make the drive to Port Hueneme just for the Broasted Chicken...love the pancit! Give it a try, you'll like it.

One of my favorite restaurants in Port Hueneme. The chicken here is way better than going to KFC. The chicken is nice and juicey with a crispy skin. The lumpia and pancit are great, very authentic. Love the Taro boba and the dinner rolls. Great prices too. :)
